First Home Study visit

Well lots has happened in the last week. After being at the Dr's office for an hour last Wed., we are half done with our physicals. We had blood drawn on Monday and have to get our TB tests done next week. Now to wait 3 weeks for the results to come in and the Dr can sign off on the physicals and they will be done. We also went to the Sheriffs Dept. and got fingerprinted to send to the FBI for our criminal clearance, again a 3 week wait to get that back.

Today we met with our Home Study Agency for the first time. Peggy (our Social Worker) is great to work with and I think she will be a lot of help on our journey. We planned on being there all afternoon, but after 1.5 hrs of talking about our childhood and families she gave us some things to think about and paperwork to get together and we were off to go shopping. She is coming to our house on Sunday to finish interviewing us and to check out the house then she can start writing her 16-20 page report on us. When she is done she will send our other agency a copy to review and we will get a copy to correct if anything is wrong. If everything checks out we will send it to Homeland Security and wait 2-3 months for them to tell us if we can bring a baby into the states.

I guess that is all for now, I will update again on Sunday after Peggy leaves. Hopefully we don't have to change to much in the house in order to pass inspection.
